We are looking to recruit a dedicated, innovative and experienced dietetic leader to lead on our University Health Board vision to deliver improved outcomes and experience for our population living with, or at risk of developing, diabetes.

The key aim is to maximise the role and value of diet and lifestyle as the cornerstone of diabetes Prevention, Management and Remission across the system, using the principles of prudent and best value healthcare; to reduce the adverse impact of diabetes on individuals, families and wider health and social care.

The post holder will be required to work collaboratively as part of a senior multi-disciplinary team with a wide range of stakeholders including service users, primary and secondary care, statutory partners and the voluntary and third sector to engage with, identify, pursue and progress opportunities to embed nutrition and lifestyle approaches across and within pathways and systems for maximum impact.

This new lead role is part of a significant Health Board investment in dietetic and diabetes services targeting roll out of successful innovations piloted and recovery from the pandemic.  The post-holder will work alongside colleagues at service lead level in weight management and health improvement and lead a team, including a clinical lead, diabetes specialist dietitians and non-registered staff.

The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience of leading and evaluating service development and improvement, of collaborative working, possess expert knowledge of diabetes both clinically and in relation to the social and economic impact, and be an excellent communicator and influencer.
