Senior Dietitian – Oncology (Band 6)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Oncology Dietitian to join our team based at The London Clinic’s main hospital in Central London, W1G 6BW, with a competitive salary range on offer.

Job Profile

As a Senior Dietitian you will provide nutritional assessment and dietetic treatment plans to a diverse range of clinical specialities.

  • Job Type:  This is a full-time, 12-month fixed term contract, working 37.5 hours per week.
  • Shifts: Monday to Friday

Key Duties

  • To manage own caseload efficiently, including methods of prioritisation in order to achieve a timely and appropriate dietetic assessment.
  • To work independently using highly developed communication skills in order to plan, implement and evaluate evidence based dietetic interventions.
  • To liaise and provide specialist input to the oncology service, which will include: Acute Oncology, the Chemotherapy Day Unit, The Stem Cell transplant unit and Radiotherapy.
  • To liaise closely with the clinical and non-clinical MDT to ensure the correct provision of appropriate nutritional care for patients.

Skills & Experience

  • BSc Dietetics or equivalent
  • HCPC registered
  • Membership of the BDA
  • Proven experience of postgraduate working in the acute clinical setting, at a band 5 or 6 or equivalent.
  • Experience working with Enteral Nutrition within the acute setting
