Nutrition and Research Coordinator (12 months fixed term)

Our Nutrition and Health team is based at our head office in Alfreton, Derbyshire. We support the ongoing development of the company’s methods and health policies, ensuring they remain in line with current best practice, are highly effective, healthy, advanced and forward thinking.​

About the role…​

We’ve an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified/graduate level Dietitian or Nutritionist to join our Nutrition and Health team on a 12-month fixed term basis.​

You’ll be responsible for supporting the on-going development of the company’s health-based literature and information in line with latest advances and understanding in nutrition and weight management. You’ll also help to answer a wide range of queries and support the successful implementation of our health policies across the business.​

Within the Nutrition, Research & Health function you’ll:

• ensure the company stays abreast of latest research and national guidelines and that information provided by the company remains in line with this
• provide nutrition and health-related information, advice and support to the Consultants who run Slimming World’s groups in response to members’ specific health concerns and online queries
• monitor adherence to health policies and provide support to Consultants to ensure the safety and wellbeing of members
• respond to queries and requests for information from external sources and internal departments (eg Slimming World Magazine and Slimming World websites)
• attend professional nutrition and health-related conferences 

About you…​

We’d love to hear from you if you’re passionate about delivering an outstanding service and you:

• ​have a degree in dietetics or nutrition, or higher qualification
• can demonstrate excellent all-round communication and team-working skills, with a real passion for nutrition, weight management and public health.
• have a naturally warm and friendly communication style across a wide variety of channels (both written and verbal are key), with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• the ability to organise your own time, prioritise and work to deadlines
• the ability to translate science and health-related material into user friendly, practical advice and information
