Lecturer in Dietetic Practice

Salary/Grade: £34,804 to £49,553 pro rata per annum – Grade 7/8

 

The School of Health Professions is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and enthusiastic dietitian to join the BSc (Hons) Dietetic programme as a Lecturer in Dietetics.  You will support teaching and learning in the area of Dietetics to students on the BSc (Hons) Dietetic programme at the University of Plymouth. You will promote academic quality and high standards of learning and teaching to support evidence based dietetic practice. You will also have a prominent role in building and sustaining successful partnerships with colleagues across the South West to develop and support practice placement education.  You will be a graduate Dietitian with post-qualifying experience in dietetics.

 

This post is based at the School of Health Professions, Peninsula Allied Health Centre Derriford Road, University of Plymouth. We offer a broad range of allied health profession programmes from Undergraduate to Masters and Doctorate level and provide plenty of opportunities for collaborative inter-professional working.

 

This vacancy will involve working with children and/or vulnerable adults and any appointment will be subject to receipt of clearance for the Protection of Children from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This is a part-time position working 25.9 hours per week (0.7 FTE) on a permanent basis.

 

A current full driving licence and willingness to travel is essential as you may at times be required to travel to remote areas not easily accessible by public transport.

 

Closing Date:          12 Midnight, Sunday 10th November 2019

 

Interviews are expected to take place on Monday 25th November 2019 and you will be notified if you have been shortlisted.  Candidates invited for interview will be asked to deliver a presentation entitled ‘The future of dietetic placements’.
