Salary: £31,371 – £33,799

Location: Halton Borough Council

Contract: Permanent

Full Time

Hours: 37 hours per week.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Dietician with a specialist interest in weight management.

 

Halton Borough Councils Health Improvement Team operate an integrated tier 2 and 3 weight management service. We are looking for a motivated and forward thinking Dietician to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team. Working alongside an Advanced Dietician, Weight Management Therapist, Health Trainers and Lifestyle Advisors you will be delivering tangible health outcomes to address obesity in the residents of Halton.

 

You will have a degree or post-degree qualification Dietetics and demonstrable experience in clinical dietetics in an acute or primary care setting with experience of supporting complex patients.

 

With the ability to manage a personal dietetic caseload, using a range of assessment skills and tools, you will have the opportunity to assist in the continued development of the service and work closely with our Public Health and Childrens and Young Persons teams to develop initiatives to combat obesity throughout the life course within Halton.

 

Halton Health Improvement Team are dedicated to providing high quality evidence based services. You will be part of a wider integrated wellness service that includes early years and family support, smoking cessation, workplace health, primary health prevention and detection and mental health.

 

Halton Borough Council has been working with Leeds Beckett University on developing a Whole Systems Obesity strategy. We have been at the forefront of this innovative approach and there are opportunities for the successful candidate to inform and influence this process.

 

The role will also include regular clinical supervision and opportunities for continued professional development.
