We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Registered Dietitian to join our already established Adult Mental Health (AMH) team in the Teesside area. We are looking for a motivated Dietitian wanting to both expand and develop their skills,or learn new skills in a mental health setting.

The post covers both inpatients and community settings, thereby providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to learn, develop and have a positive impact along the whole patient journey.

Alongside the clinical aspect of the post, the post holder will have the opportunity to participate in policy development, audit, research activities, pathway development, staff and student training.

This post is part of a wider dietetic team which covers adult mental health, children and young people, eating disorders, learning disabilities and secure inpatient services – with these areas supported by our Professional Head of Dietetic Services and several highly skilled Lead Dietitians.

Candidates should be a Registered Dietitian, with excellent communication and IT skills. A working knowledge of behaviour change and motivational interviewing would be desirable.

Although preferably the candidate would have some experience of working in a mental health setting, we understand that a lot of new graduates / dietitians will not of had this opportunity, and therefore the post holder will receive regular supervision from the Lead Dietitian, and will be encouraged to attend / become part of our peer support groups (including a band 5 Dietitian’s group). The post holder will also have opportunities to receive formal and informal training – all of which help support your Continued Professional Development and post-graduate training.

We are able to offer support with relocation costings if you are moving into the area, and parking in our trust car parks is free.

We look forward to hearing from you.
