Clinical Outpatient/Community Registered Dietitian

 

Located on the beautiful islands of Bermuda, Island Nutrition Limited is looking for an experienced Clinical Outpatient/Community Registered Dietitian. If you’re looking for some sand and sunshine after work then take a look at this opportunity.

Applicants should have the experience and ability to manage a widely varied caseload of adults and some general paediatrics. The role is clinical community which may include both in office, home visits and satellite clinics. Mixed caseload includes weight management (including bariatrics), CKD (including Home Peritoneal Dialysis), cardiovascular diseases and nutrition support (including limited HEF). The caseload is mostly adult with a small amount of general paediatrics such as fussy eating and failure to thrive.

Knowledge of dietary requirements for CKD is essential and experience of Peritoneal Dialysis is preferable. Experience or knowledge of Home Haemodialysis would be a bonus.

Experience/knowledge of bariatric surgery management would be of benefit.

General paediatric experience, particularly fussy eating and failure to thrive would be of benefit.

Must be flexible and be willing/able to adapt advice and guidelines to best meet the clients individual needs.

Must have experience of working in an outpatient and/or community setting.

NHS equivalent Band 6-7.

Applicants must be registered with the Bermuda Council for Allied Health Professionals or be eligible to register. Non-Bermudians must also be registered in the UK.

Must have a relevant degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.

Must have familiarity with electronic medical records.

Must have or be willing to obtain a Bermuda drivers license (car or bike), if needed.

Some flexibility of working hours to accommodate patients over a 35 hour working week, including limited Saturday mornings.

Applicant must be self-motivated and able to work autonomously and to the highest standard.

Remuneration is on a commission basis.

1 Year contract, which may be extended for the right candidate, pending immigration approval.
