Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust has been rated as Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

We are a responsive and innovative Foundation Trust that places our values of Caring, Safe and Excellent at the heart of everything we do. We take great pride in our staff and believe that investing in you is key to us achieving our vision of outstanding care delivered by outstanding people.

We work with a wide range of partner organisations to deliver care and support to people in their own homes and from a number of hospitals and community bases. We focus on delivering care as close to home as possible.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new, dynamic team setting up an innovative service for adults with eating disorders within the HOPE Provider Collaborative.  The service will offer an alternative to inpatient hospital care by providing elements as required from community and inpatient combined.

Early results from pilot studies indicates that outcomes are significantly improved by using an integrated model of stepped care, based upon CBT-E for those requiring Tier 4 services.

Due to the successes, we are expanding the Step Care Model and are looking for passionate clinicians to join us.  This post not only offers the opportunity to deliver safe, excellent care for people who are at their most unwell, but also offers the opportunity to contribute to the expansion of the evidence base through service evaluation and research.

Working across the geographical footprint of the HOPE Adult Eating Disorder Provider Collaborative, the innovative approach enables more people to access services in a timely way, potentially avoid admission and follow a robust treatment pathway to ensure that their needs are met in a therapeutic recovery-based treatment model.

The HOPE Provider Collaborative covers a geography of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, BaNES, Swindon & Wiltshire (BSW) and Gloucestershire, developing integration and collaborative across systems, providers, partnerships and ICS’s (Integrated Care Systems), working with providers, local, regional and national commissioners to develop high quality service provisions.

The Model:

Integrated step care is a new Tier 4 Clinical Model that has been developed by the team at Oxford Health, consisting of 3 ‘phases’:

  1. Starting well (virtual programme) which offers intensive treatment in a Hospital at Home format.
  2. Time limited inpatient admission.
  3. Staying well (virtual programme) which offers intensive treatment in a Hospital at Home format.

The model is underpinned by CBT-E and is fully integrated with community teams and inpatient services to offer a seamless service.
