JOB TITLE: Chief Operating Officer
Salary: £61,245 with attractive benefits including 29.5 days holiday (plus bank holidays) contributory pension scheme, season ticket loan, flexible working, health benefits scheme, access to childcare vouchers, etc.
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Birmingham – with limited UK travel
The multi award winning British Dietetic Association is one of the country’s most innovative and exciting membership associations, leading the field in supporting over 9500 nutrition professionals.
Our global engagement reaches audiences of over 300 million people through media coverage, events and campaigns. We also provide valuable advice and representation to our members through our Trade Union.
The BDA has a highly successful track record with strong governance and a sound financial base with a current annual budget of over £3m. We are now looking for an outstanding business focussed leader to work closely with the CEO, the Executive team and Directors to lead the Association’s operations.
Your role includes effective planning and management of resources across business functions while also providing leadership to the senior management team. You will also ensure the BDA’s business development priorities are met through the successful management of events and other revenue generation activities, as well as contributing to income diversification strategies.
With an excellent track record in effective people and resource management across multi-functional areas including finance, you demonstrate our core values of Professionalism, Innovation and Dynamism.
With previous experience in the third sector, a professional membership body or health/education sector, you have a particular interest in our core mission to support our members and lead the dietetic profession into the future.
