Professional Practice Officer 

Office based in central Birmingham (with flexible working arrangements)

Salary £22,465.23 – £24,768.34  per annum Part- time 3 days per week (We may also consider job share).

The BDA is recruiting a Professional Practice Officer to join our committed, supportive and successful team.  We cover all aspects of professional practice and education supporting and developing the dietetic workforce from novice to expert.

This is an exciting role which provides the opportunity to make a difference by engaging with, and influencing government strategy for nutrition and dietetics. You will work closely with BDA internal staff, members, volunteers and other AHP professional associations. There is also be the opportunity to attend national and international conferences to network with dietitians across the world.

The role will have specific responsibility for supporting professional development projects across the BDA such as outcomes, standardised language (including SNOMED CT), digital transformation, workforce intelligence and supporting work on advanced practice role development. The post holder will also be responsible for communicating messages to stakeholders via webinars, videos and social media posts.

This role is ideal for a dietitian looking for a new challenge having had experience of working in the NHS. It is not expected that the successful candidate will have all the necessary knowledge and skills to undertake the policy role, just plenty of enthusiasm, flexibility, and willingness to learn.
