Lecturer in Dietetic Practice

Plymouth

£35,326 – £50,296 per annum

The School of Health Professions is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and enthusiastic dietitian to join the team.  You will support teaching and learning to students on the 3 year BSc (Hons) Dietetics, and the 4 year MDiet (Hons) Dietetics at the University of Plymouth. You will also have a prominent role in building and sustaining successful partnerships with colleagues across the South West to develop and support practice placement education including supporting our in- house nutrition clinic.  Applicants holding a doctorate will also contribute to our research portfolio whilst those without should have a willingness to develop their research profile. You will be a graduate with at least 2 years post-qualifying experience.

This post will involve teaching on main campus and at the Peninsula Allied Health Centre Derriford Road, University of Plymouth.  We offer a broad range of allied health profession programmes from Undergraduate to Masters and Doctorate level and provide plenty of opportunities for collaborative inter-professional working.

This is a full time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis.  Flexible working options including job share will be considered.

A current full driving licence and willingness to travel is essential as you will be required to travel to remote areas not easily accessible by public transport.

Interviews are likely to take place on 15 November 2021 and you will be notified if you have been shortlisted or not.  Candidates invited for interview will be asked to deliver a 10 minute presentation entitled ‘Future proofing dietetic placements’.
